The Opportunity:

Clearview Co-op is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team!

This position will service all our locations throughout Southeastern Manitoba.

What You Would Do:

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will conduct the ongoing inspections, maintenance, and repairs of the structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding and HVAC systems and equipment, including manual and automatic car wash bays. A focus will be on implementing preventative measures to prolong the life of existing and new equipment.  Some main duties of the job include:

  • Maintain compliance with Asset Protection and Health and Safety Standards.
  • Be responsible for the overall building and equipment quality control systems.
  • Determine best practices for implementing ongoing preventative measures and addressing the reactive and emergent requirements.
  • Respond to building deficiencies in a timely and professional manner.

About you:

  • You have 1-3 years of Facility Maintenance experience.
  • You have a passion for great customer service.
  • You are an exceptional team player and can build great working relationships with a variety of teams.
  • You have great organization and time management skills.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You exhibit good safety awareness and judgment.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best.

  • You have the flexibility to respond to issues outside of regular working hours. There is an on-call component to this position.

Construction experience or experience in refrigeration, electrical, or plumbing is considered an asset. A valid class 5 Driver’s License is a requirement for the position. An acceptable criminal record check will be required from the candidate, if chosen for the position.
